5th gen owners with auto climate control
I have a 2k1 with auto climate control and I notice when i'm driving and the engine is really warmed up.... heat comes out of the middle two vents when the auto climate is OFF.
its not blowing at a low speed, but rather just a gradual seeping in of heat from what i'm guessing is the engine.

When I have mine off, air seeps in. I guess it like... you turn off climate control, but the vents are still open so whatever air is near the intake vents will bring in the air. I guess it's so that you don't suffocate in the car.

It is normal. They do that to circulate air through the passenger cabin when the car is in motion. If you don't like it, turn on the in-cabin circulation button when you have the system off, and the air "seeping" in will stop. Thats what I do anyway.

The fan isn't running, but as long as the recirc door is open, the forward motion of the car will force some air through the system. The air should mostly flow through the heater (floor) vents.
Believe it or not, the temperature door is still working even though you thought the system was "off." Try this: with the system on, note the temp setting. Now push the Off button and twist the temperature control ****. Now turn the system on again - the setpoint temperature will have changed. The residual air flowing through the system will also get warmer or cooler depending on what the controller thinks the temperature in the car is. (Of course the a/c compressor will not run so you won't get any cooling effect.)
In sunny, cool weather you can use this feature (?) and turn the temp dial higher to keep a very low flow of warm air to the floor to help your feet stay warm without adding too much heat to the cabin.
