Saying good bye to Nissan

Well, my father and I have negotiated a good price for a new 2004 4Runner (dealers invoice, free lifetime oil changes...). Its been a pleasure to be on this forum. We will be moving from a 2000 SE Maxima to a 2004 SE 4Runner. The difference is incomparable, as I now drive 15-20 mph slower and sit 2 feet higher then in the max.

The trade in value for the Maxima fetched $11,500, primarily does to it looking cosmetically clean. Needless to say, I failed a NY State inspection due to high emissions, and my SES check engine light came on a few weeks before we did the trade in. The new owner will hopefully do the maintenance that’s needed. I had 62K miles on the Maxima, and towards the end, averaged 23 mpg on highway driving.

Enjoy the 4Runner. It is a solid vehicle. My friend has one with over 249K miles on it and it is still going strong.
