Stillen Rear Sway Bar Placement?

For those of you with the Stillen RSB, where did you place your bar in relation to the axle?

I wanted to keep my axle free for my jack, so I tried putting the rsb just behind it, and I thought it would clear the multi-link but it's hitting on even small bumps.

So I'm going to move it and I'm trying to figure out where the best place would be to put it. In front of the axle is what I'm thinking.

It's more effective closer to the front of the car, right? So I wouldn't want it behind the multilink, correct? Or should I put it right under the axle and jack the car up some other way? If so, where?

And yes, I searched, but none of the 63 results went into the detail I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Did it come with instructions? I don't remember where I mounted my bar but I followed the instructions. I'll look when I get a chance and let you know.

I got my swaybar from another org member and I was wondering the same thing too. I have mine directly under (or even touching) the rear suspension.

So is that directly under the rear axle? What do you use for jacking it then?

I used the outer-most holes, 5 to choose from. The bar sits very snuggly directly under the axle. Had to get creative with the abs wire bracket

Yes, give or take a .25" if I had to estimate. The work was scheduled/performed on a lift by my long-term mechanic (no credit here) while I had the car in for other service. While I did not turn-the-wrenches I did the test drives and it took two "re-adjustments" to ensure proper fit with no unusual bumps, sounds, etc. I put ~50 miles on the car and had the unit re-tourqued same day. Put another week of city and highway driving on and went back for one more re-torque. Been solid since day 1 and money very well-spent.

Mine went directly in the middle of the rear suspension bar. Use the 3rd and 5th holes for installati9on.

I just moved it under the axle. The only reason I hadn't done that from the beginning was I didn't know where to put the jack. I took Todds' suggestion and just jacked it up one side at a time.

Works great now, WOW what a difference!

Thanks for the help guys.

Me too. I just took that whole little bracket off and zip-tied the abs to the e-brake line.

I have the progress RSB and their directions actually say to remove the ABS bracket. I have my bar directly under the axle.
