Auto climate control lighting problem

There is a lighting problem with my auto climate control. the left portion hardly ever lights up, middle sometimes, right is ok. if i wiggle the plastic around the edge it will come on for a little bit then go back off so obviuosly there is a short. i took it all apart to try and fix it but the whole thing is sealed. has anyone had this problem? is there a way to fix it without replacing the whole climate control unit?

Its the bulbs, its not sealed. The unit has screws on the back. The bulbs go in thru the back of the circuit board. I've posted pics here before.

15 min job to replace them, $3 each. There are 4 as I recall.

thank you very much. but i think the bulbs are fine since they work sometimes. i think it is just a short in there somewhere. i may just replace all the bulbs anyway and see if it helps.

the bulbs are very sensitive to vibration. Often a smack will bring them back for a short time.

There is nothing serviceable on the board. The contacts on the bulb can also get loose. You'll just have to see them to understand. I lost 3 of 4 bulbs in the max and 2 in our 2000 pathfinder.. They just dont last long. They also tend to die after hitting a pothole or removing the stereo. Doesnt take much shock at all once they are getting old.
