SEL, please help.
SEL, please help.
I got SEL last night. Car runs as usual, but I still went to Auto Zone and got code pulled. It's "Ignition Problem/Misfire". Since 2000-2001 have coil problems, I assumed I had a bad one. I had couple of extra coils so I played around to see if I can find a faulty one, if any. No luck. Any ideas? I don't want to pay $80 to a shop to get diagnostics done.
By the way, I got 79k miles. Had plus changed at 59k, only use 93 octane. and had BG44K before last fill up.
Also, I'm thinking of resetting ECU and see if light comes back. Anyone remember fast SEL reset? There was something like disconnecting a battery and playing with brake pedal.
Thanks in advance

I'd just clear the code, Autozone should have been able to do it, by just leaving your battery disconnected overnight.
If it comes back, I'd try swapping the coils one at a time each day after resetting the ECU, since it can take MANY trips withOUT the failure to clear.
