Pictures!

Here are the pictures regarding my thread from 11/17/03. Let me know if you see anything connected incorrectly. Please pay special attention to the light kink in the small vacuum hose, the temp sensor connection, and the unidentified breather hose. Thanks!

Here you go...

It'll load, you just have to give it a minute.

Yours looks just like mine at first glance. I'll have to check mine again tonight. I don't see your MAF. Is it under the MAF tube? Mine is on top. That shouldn't make any difference, but nothing else pops out at me. I don't have a camera, so I can't show you mine. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply. That open ended hose IS just a breather hose, right? I wasn't 100% sure about that. As far as the MAF sensor goes; yes, it is connected. The MAF assembly is simply inverted for esthetics. I don't think gravity has much of an impact on air flow or the sensor's ability to properly register it. I've had it rigged up both ways with negligible difference in performance (or lack there of in my case).

What do you guys think about losing the midpipe and hooking up the Apexi filter to the stock resonator? I'm trying to salvage my investment the best I can, without sacrificing performance.

It may look good, but it runs like garbage. It's all coming off tomorrow.... for good! Refer to my previous thread from the 17th entitled "unresovled intake issues."

the connection from the midpipe to the throttle body looks loose...looks like theres a gap? I tightened all my clamps to a point where it cannot be tightened anymore.

That's kind of the setup I have. No midpipe, no resonator, no crankcase hose (small filter instead).

Throttle Body <---> Rubber Flex Piece <---> MAF <---> Berk Adapter <---> K&N Cone Filter

Its a very short setup and the sound is a lot more intense than the standard longer setup. I think maybe the shorter distance helps the air get into the throttle body quicker, but I could be wrong.

I'll look for a pic to post.

Yes... Pic please. I wasn't able to tinker with it yesterday, so I'm going to have to tackle it today. Any pics are appreciated.
