Front mount Video Monitors ??

I need to mount a video monitor for up front viewing when I'm in traffic. I've been looking at the SAVV rear view mirror monitor, and some front visor monitors. Is anyone currently using any of these components in there 5th generation. I'm currently using both din locations so I can't use a flip up screen there. Any pics or ideas guys? Starting to like the SAVV monitor, but don't no how it would look in the Max.

Thanks,
Shane

Im gonna say this since I have a 7" screen in the front. This aint highly recommended. WHY? Well you will get into an accident, this isnt a mod you want to do to "kill time" while in traffic. This is a mod you want to do for just that, a mod.

With my large screen Ive almost got into an accident a few times.

Not to mention Ive been cited for having a screen in the front and the next time I will be cited with a Careless driving ticket which will be 4points.

A rearview mirror TV is alot easier to see than a 7" screen where the radio normally sits for someone outside the car.

I agree that you can get into trouble with a front monitor in the car. You need to be very careful.

I thought about a front mounted LCD. I've been thinking of a gooseneck mount attached either to the lower center console area, or clamped to the lower part of the passenger seat area. This way, the LCD panel itself is removable off the mount, and it is adjustable so a front passenger can view it.

Peace.

i will be installing a 7" where the center vents are in about 2 weeks but since it will be gps use mostly it should be ok...

no reason why you should get hassled unless it actually blocks something or you are blasting some mtv video.

What exactly are you going to be doing. Are you going to loose the function of your center vents?
I entertained the idea of doing a monitor on top of the vents, but couldn't figure out how to do it without it looking so aftermarket. Keep us posted and need pics.
