this is fxxxing bull$hit.......3rd MAF in 2 yrs

my 3rd MAF sensor just went out tonight....left me stranded in the middle of the road again.
I don't believe this shiat.....I didn't clean my K&N filter....so its not the oil ( i have frankencar)
I did the tsb (updated computer) about 2 months ago
anyone have the part number for 2k2 MAF sensor?
it should be around $100 something right?
and is it cheaper if I order it from DaveB and have him overnight it?

thanks

ps can someone give me DaveB's number?

I'm sorry to hear that. Here is DaveB's phone number: 1-888-254-6060

Or you can try www.jerryromenissan.com Put "maxima" as coupon code and enjoy 25% discount. Good luck.

MassAirFlow sensor

I don't know why this keep on happening....
but i can tell you the last time that it went out is during full throttle....
but what's the point of having a fast car...if going full throttle means a bad MAF
anybody has any suggestions?
i mean shouldn't the tsb took care of that already?

I feel you bro......... I bought an MAF from DaveB
for a spare because so many have blown mAF's on their 2k2- Yet I've never blown one on my car- I too have a Franken w/ K&N and haven't cleaned it
(18K on the filter)

I putin the new MAF and threw a SES light- so went back to the original and it went away....

Look at the bright side... that's 3 strikes on the same part going bye-bye on you.

Isn't that the main clause in most state's lemon laws?

I also noticed my OG MAF has a wire
looped inside on the sensor and a small yellow dot sticker on the outside(body)- The part DaveB sent me does not have this wire and it has a small green
dot on it-
Anyone know if thats how the new MAF is supposed to be like - or Is this MAf (broken- missing the wire)?

Sorry to hear about your troubles, BioMaxDDS, but this thread cracked me up.

"What's a AMF?"
"What's SES?"

How much is a MAF $100? $450?
Does a blown one put you dead on the side of the road or just a low power limp home type of mode?

dead on the side of the road....
then you can disconnect the sensor....that would put you in power limp mode
can't rev beyond 2500rpm
