I did a search but it was not functioning for me. . Anyway, whenever i gently take off to accelerate I hear a strange noise from the engine bay. I have no idea what i is. I dosen't make that noise if I'm driving on the highway and I downshift and it dosen't make that noise if I accelerate hard. I only hear it for a few seconds when i accelerate gently from a stop or if I'm at low RPMs ( 2000 - 2500 ). My guess is it could be the throttle body or maybe even the timing chain??? The car seems to run fine and dosen't seem sluggish. Has any of you experienced this matter?

 

Maybe check out the exhaust hangers? Sometimes when they are maladjusted the exhaust bangs and it sounds like its coming from the engine bay. Worth a look at least...

 

I think I have the same problem...under light acceleration from a stop, I hear a sort of rattling sound...It sounds like the sound from the "cold start rattling" TSB...Could they be related ???

I have to take my max in and have a diagnostic performed ($$$$)...the idle seems a bit of off on the car too, sort of like a bad plug...Car accels normally though...

 

Yeah, I'm going to have my dealer check it out too. But I'll be the one that drives it for the tech!

 

I have the same sound. It sounds like the car was subjected to cheap gas, but all I put in is 93.
