Effective offset using spacers

Yea, I'm posting again with spacer questions I didn't want to dig up my old thread since this question is not related to it.

I am thinking of getting 25mm spacer all around (maybe 20mm for front). My wheel offset is 47mm which is very high and tuckage is quite aweful. I like the wheels but the tuckage and tire rubbing while making turns make me think I should get new wheels. But this is bedises the point

Anyway, if I get the 25mm spacers I will be at 22mm offset effectively all around. Will I rub the fender at this effective offset? I kind of think that the rears will be just fine, but the front might have a problem with this hence I'm thinking of 20mm for the front.

Thanks guys!

My SSRs are 38mm offset &d I'm running the 20mm spacers in the rear for an effective offset on 18mm and I'm very close -about .25 to .375 inches- away from rubbing on a good bump. This proximity to rubbing is one of the reasons I'll be dropping spacer width slightly soon.

Now, if your setup is going to yield an effective offset of 22mm, (47-25), that's just under a quarter-inch less total offset than my current setup so you should be fine in the rear -but I think you will have problems in the front.

My choices for the front would be either a 15mm spacer for a total offset of 32. Alternatively, a 20m spacer would yield a total offset of 27....I would not do the 25 in the front.

Remember, too...the Maxima has a narrower track (wheel spacing) in the rear vs the front.....placing equal spacers on both front & rear will sustain -instead of correct- that disparity, another reason why I would choose a smaller spacer for the fronts...

Thanks Galo. I can always trust you on good spacer information

Do you know how much narrower the rear track is compared to the front?

HK..nix that, I dont -but somehow the figure of .8 inches sticks in my head....that works out to about 11mm per side -I think.

Thanks Galo. I think I am definitely going with 25mm in the rear. 25mm ones are DRM series so they would be much easier to install.

Now for the front: I was wondering if you are going to get the custom ones for yourself would you be willing to sell your 20mm ones to me?

Oh that's right. I forgot about that. I did read that before it just slipped out of my mind. Of course, Hamy has the right of the way. Let me know. Thanks!
