another NY headlight theft thread

Welp, i never thought it would happen to me. I had my max for near 2 years, and althought i hear about it all the time, it's still pretty shocking and ****ed up to have it happen. What makes me the most angry is it's a faceless crime and i never know who did it.

These thieves had it down to a science. My whole grill is gone, not a scratch on the hood or bumper, battery disconnected and headlights gone.

I haven't looked in the daylight, but I can tell whoever did it, hit 2 maxs in the same lot. Anyways, i have a new appreciation for maxima headlight thieves... I'm just thinking they are gonna pop up on ebay any day now.

Damn. It aint safe no more...

Look on the bright side: (I'm assuming you have comprehensive coverage when I say this) they didnt damage your bumper or hood which will save you the trouble of having to do expensive body work. Get your insurance check and grab yourself some AE headlights, an HID kit and an aftermarket grill!

I don't see why ebay would not simply set a policty to refuse any posters listing Maxima or Accura Xenon headlamps...if you make it harder for the theives to fence their booty...then eventually they will move onto something else.

one other method would be to design the headlamps so that they will crack and destroy themselves (i.e. be absolutely useless to the theif) if any attempt is made to remove them from the outside (i.e. prying them out). At least that would deter those theives who don't have the know-how to pop your hood, etc. Also, it would keep them from ruining your hood, fenders and front bumper.

The only thing that would work is a hood/bumper replacement that secures the headlamp in-

I can only hope if I ever get mine jacked that the fool is a pro and doesnt damage my fender/hood (thats where it hurts)
