Addco Sway Bar...refresh my mind....

can someone refresh my mind. i know there's an issue with a clunking noise heard if you mount the sway bar bushings against something. ever since i put my system back in, i've gotten the clunking noise going over bumps. i figure because of the added weight (200+lbs.), this is the reason it didn't happen before and now the car travels a bit more with 200 more lbs in the trunk.

what exactly is it that the sway bar bangs against? is it the driver side or passenger side? any information would help. thanx.

as an added note, this ONLY happens on the pass. side of my rear suspension.

I remember something about you have to keep the bushings 4.5" from the bend.

yes...something of the sort...but what was the reason...what was hitting up against.
i'm taking a guess that when the suspension contracts, something above the sway bar (someting in the rear axle?) must hit up against hte bushing?
OR
is does the "attack" come from the side.
all i know is that it's driving me crazy. i dont' want to think that i have a blown rear right strut. that would NOT be a good thing.

i noticed that on the right side in the rear, there's a full metal section which does not exist on the left side. is that the part that could be banging.

btw, i tried searching, but it's not letting me, so any donating members wanna do a search for me and link me with a few threads i guess replicating the fix or at leasting replicating the problem. i hate to repeat threads that have been beaten to death before. thanx
