Get a yellow top. I need to get one for mine. I had one in my other car and i could jump start cars without my car even being on.

I just had my Max serviced about a month ago. Everything was okay except the battery wasn't putting out enough amps (I don't know how much longer it would have lasted). I had no idea it was going bad. Since it was still under warranty, I had them replace it. Pro rated, it came to $25 (good for another 5 yrs). This was orig battery - 2 1/2 yrs old.

Ooo, ****e. If most Nissan batteries die out in 2.5 years, then I'll be replacing mine soon. But I know what I am going to get already. Optima Yellow Top.

Mine died in the same period of time - i got a pro-rata discount for a replacement but i decided to forego it.

I got a Red top instead. 300 more CCA than the OEM - good enough for me

get a red top. you cleaned out your system. that car is your daily driver. the red top is more of a starting battery whereas the yelloe top is more deep cycle. and yes are supposed to check the water level. take that black cover off and look at the holes. i believe you should see a water level there. if it's that low, then damn you need to add some water.

i believe it has to be DISTILLED water as well. checkt he manual to be sure.

Optima's are as maintenance-free as it gets. There are other battery makers out there that makes similar one's as well.

They must not make em like they used to. Batteries used to last about 5 years, providing you kept the water level up.

I got a Red Top and put my 6 month old factory battery in my wife's Camry cause hers needed to be replaced.
