Yes, we have found the in the last month, due to research, that almost 95% of our customers look at them and leave them in the box.
So, I guess my team has started leaving them out.

ok! We will ship you replacement rings.
To explain, though I realize it's a bit hard here, we had 2 options:
1) delay shipping and let me handle all of the packaging in which case you'd have my head for not shipping
2) ship and hope that my manufacturing facility would label it fragile. The fedEx people annoying!
Sorry. We will send new rings to everyone.
Just double check the color and we'll get you the right ones

Matt, I installed my angel eyes about 2 days ago. Everything was fine, all the lights were the same color. Well tonight, I looked at my lights and i noticed one wasnt turned on. I look under the hood and there was smoke and sparks coming out of the black connector at the end of the white wires coming out of the black box ( i guess the ballast). Whats up with that?????? every other light is fine. Is there some kind of warranty on the ballast or faulty wiring on the manufaturers part.

make sure you have the black wire touching a ground place, a good one you might have to scratch the paint in some cases....

I had the same exact problem when I first installed mine...IGOR911 did as well, and he came up with the solution..its all in the connectors (black clips, male/female ends), simple solutions is to cut the connectors and hard wire the wires together..for some reason the black connectors are "doodoo" and somehow block most of the current..I did it and dont have that problem anymore..

There is a lot more to it than connectors, what you've done is a mere band aid
1) Is your battery old - 2-3 years isn't that old, but it might not be fully charged at start up. Usually within 1 minute it will be better once the alternator gets fully fired up.
2) You need to make sure all the connections are fully inserted. The pins might not be in all the way inside the clam shells or you might have a bad connection from the relay to the ballast.
3) Check to make sure there isn't any cross talk amongst the wires. Due to the insulation of them, the wires crossing over each other will "take" voltage from the other wire and force only one ring to go bright.
4) Check to make sure you didn't cross (common and easy thing to do) the wire from one ring into a connector with the wire from another ring into the same connector.
5) If it's been cold, they will simply not fire up right away, this was documented from the get go, and all you have to do is turn on your headlights for a minute at most.
6) The "final answer" to all this is the following - we have a voltage regulator built into the red wire from the ballast. You can remove that (as it helps the ballast receive proper voltage) to allow more voltage to hit the ballast. We don't know what affect this may have on longevity, we don't recommend it, but it's an option if all else fails. If you do this, and 1 year down the road, it breaks, we won't replace it. But if you do this and 30-60 days later it breaks, we will replace it.
