I cant decide which Intake I should get! (Frankencar Intake or GAB).
I dont know if I should get Frankencar Intake or GAB. My plan is to get y-pipe, maybe b-pipe(not should about it), and keeping stock muffler. I want to keep it quiet, so which one should I get Frankencar Intake or just buy K/N than do GAB. I did search and I found alot info. been two months that I can't decide if I should get Frankencar Intake or do GAB. Now I will let Maxima.org member to pick one for me.

GAB is the way to go if you dont care about appearance, but rather performance...I was in the same position as you, and I have no regret at all doing the GAB. I also bought an intake flex hose (3.5inch dia.) from autozone and used a metal tape to hold it in place when extruded from the bottom of the intake housing towards the bottom front of the car. I've def. noticed the sound difference and also some gains from 3k-6k rpm. When i shift to second, the tires breaks loose more freely than before the GAB After i turned the engine off and checked the k&n filter, it was very cool by the touch so im definitely also getting the ram air affect, where as the frankencar doesnt..although the sound may be louder on frankencar. Do the GAB...and use the money you saved towards purchasing a y-pipe.
That sounds more like an OSCAI, purekoryo. From my understanding the GAB is modifying the air box by porting holes or cutting/removing the filter bracket and possibly includes streamlining the piping from the stock scoop to the airbox.
Well from the information I have gathered the gains are pretty similar for both so it comes down to money and looks. If you want to save money over the look of a modified intake go with the GAB/K&N. If you want the looks over the savings go with the intake.

The GAB isnt gonna loose as much low end torque as the Frankencar. the Frankcar will have more highend power for sure, but how much % of your driving is above 5k?, basicly i think GAB is cheaper and basically gives you a small gain of power throughout the whole powerband
but be aware....you WILL likely loose some low end grunt with either the GAB also!
i did all three by inserting a K&N, cutting the top of my air box up (GAB), and then creating a custom cold air intake that routes to the bottom of the car from the stock air intake (OSCAI).

Frankencar will lose a lot of low end...GAB will not. I have proven at the track the GAB will perform just as good as a pop charger. I now have a GAB with a homemade midpipe and I lost a lot of low end, but I didn't want to tap into plastic so I had no other choice.

I went with Frankencar and I love it and it looks great and sounds great. With the GAB, if you want to go back to stock, you buy new parts. Any dynos to go with the GAB - just curious. just my .02

I dont believe "customer service" is part of their "garage" business-
I luckily ran into them @ a Jersey meet and copped in in person... great intake though
