Loose silver insert on 6-speed. How do I remove it?

Hey 6-speed owners, has anyone else had problem with the plastic silver colored insert on their 6-speed stick coming loose? Mine moves front to back just enough to drive me nuts. It looks like I could just pry it up with a flathead, but I'm hesitant to do so until I hear someone else has attempted it.

Any suggestions?

I think if you take the **** off there is a screw on the inside, just tighten it

Ah! So the shift **** can be unscrewed from the shaft by hand? And then there is a screw that holds the silver insert tight against the leather ****?

You were right on the money KGB. Just unscrew the **** by hand and there is a screw inside the **** that holds the silver insert on. Appreciate the help!
