manual trans jerk can solve by high flow exhaust?

Here's the situation I have 2k2 6spd and lets say i'm in 3rd gear (it can be any gear 1,2,3 is most noticeable) and I accelerate to 4k RPM and let go the gas, I would feel like "jerk" coming from the transmission as the RPM drops. Unlike a automatic that would just cruse off smoothly instead. I would kinda have to hold the gas lightly to let the RPM drop smoothly. I've ask some friends and they told me its because our engine has so much Torque that cause this (A.k.A too much back pressure) is this true? So if I get a B-pipe only would that help eliminate this "jerk" or would a Greddy EVO exhaust help this situation more?

Any comments is welcome

when you let off the gas the forward forces cease so you got some feedback. it happens in an auto as well, just when you apply the gas vs releasing it. exhaust won't fix what's not broken. it has nothing to do with torque itself but road forces/wind/traction etc and it is normal.

further, when you are in gear and let off the gas, it's the torque braking that kicks in. no gas + engine in gear = slowing down. same effect as when you downshift when going down hills to help you slow down.

Thanks. But I wasn't really direction the "engine braking" part, I am actually talking more about the point where I let go the gas pedal and the car kinda "jerks" a little (shifter sometimes move a bit), then engine brake as the RPM drop. If I hold the gas a little I would not feel that jerk and RPM would just come down slowly.

I was wondering if there anyway I can improve or eliminate this "jerk".
