Most powerfull .org 5th Gen Max?

Just random curosity here. So what is the highest HP numbers someone has dynod? I'm assuming it would be someone with either a turbo or supercharger with NOS?

Granted, after a point we'd just be sittin there burnin the tires, but it would be neat to see if a max could get to 400 or so WHP.

So no one has done a SC/Turbo+ NOS yet? Heh, welp, when I win the lottery, I'll try that out.

You think wrong then...

I'm not yet turboed, but I am buying all the pieces (pistons, connecting rods, head studs, gaskets...etc) to beef up the engine itself. I'm also going with a fully built NRH auto tranny. I have yet to decide on the turbo, but if I get a wild hair, I'll consider a VATN turbo (a variable rate/area turbine nozzle). This will mostly (if not completely) eliminate lag and allow me to add or remove boost on the fly with the turbo itself...

There is few guy on the org that run SC or Turbo with funny gas. If I'm not mistaken Craig Mac was very close to 400HP I think it was 369 HP with similar torque, man that car was a beast, I guess his now SVT will help forget the max.

Cheers

The addition of nitrous to a SC or Turbo will help drop the overall temperature of the engine, when sprayed the nitrous enter the engine at around -127 celcius. Supposedly the max engine can support around 400hp stock, so if you run SC or turbo with 5-7 lbs of boost + 35-50 shots and the right amount of fuel the engine should handle it, many org member already prove this, it is moreless the tranny that may go first.

Me and my friend were talking about this. Nissan engines can generally handle a lot of boost with stock internals... its just that nissan trannys suck *****.
i.e. SR20DET = tranny eater

The problem is that we dont have aftermarket injectors (yet) for the 5th gen. Kev, Dixit, & Frosty im sure are pushing over 300whp. Kev has on his as well so im sure its well over the 300whp mark. If we had aftermarket injectors to play with so to speak we would see some pretty good #'s.

Hal on the other had amazes me. Even with stock injectors the guy is somehow pushin close to 500whp yes I know hes got a 95 but still.

Yall seem to forget that jhans114 put down 356whp on his setup when he had it. S/C + nitrous that was the setup.

There are plenty of people over the 300 mark, few over 350. Some just dont say anything.

Running Nitrous and TC/SC is not dangerous if you watch what you are doing. Nitrous (wet) actually helps to bring the temps down in the cylinder. I may be running it soon. Wont be running 35shot as some do, might be running close to 55shot.

Kev is already in 300 with his SC. Turbo push the number a bit higher but he had a bad piston. injector-wise - Ice2k1 is looking into RC engineering's 350z injecotrs. I dunno the latest update. but soon we will have a VQ30dek injector to be sent to RC for testing and comparison.

from my boost list
Over 400whp club
Mardigras Max - 428.1whp
turbo97SE
hlh0501 - 476.7whp

Damn, wish I could say I was even considering ever getting a SC, but with my auto, and knowing the way I drive, wouldn't be worth the cost of the SC plus a new tranny.

I would say if you have 5-7 lbs of boost, a VB recalibration and a tranny cooler will help save your tranny as long as you dont drive like if you stole it.
If you want to go in the higher boost like 8 lbs+ it worth to spend the 3K to rebuild the auto tranny before you blow it, I plan to do the VB recal next spring, but I know one day or another I will either make the auto to stik swap or rebuilt the auto tranny. I'm actually shopping for the Turbo, I may have a pretty good deal on a Garrett T4.

Cheers
