I have finally unearthed the first rattle in my 2K2, and it's driving me crazy. I thought it might be coming from the glove box, but I took EVERYTHING out of there, and it persists. At one point I gave it a pretty good hit and the rattle stopped for about 30 seconds, but came right back. If I take this to the dealer, are they going to laugh at me, or is this covered under the warranty? I'm almost positive it's coming from the glove box, but it MAY be from somewhere in the cheaply made plastic door. Wherever it is, it's driving me farking nuts!

i have to same rattle on the right side when i go over a bump.... i took it to the dealer on two occasion they told me that the rattle might becoming from the dash and they are go to have to take it a part to find the problem... The only thing is that its not covered under my 72k gold pkg warranty.... I also went on a road test with the tech and what u know no noise..... So i got to live with it or pay and hope they find the problem BUT at $89 per hour... to sweet for my blood...

I *think* I fixed it. Today on my lunch break I mashed on the dash a bit where it meets the door (right next to the glove box) and it made a sound similar to the rattle I'm hearing. I also peeled back to A-pillar and adjusted some wires in there. I drove it after and it was okay. I'm anxious to see what happens when I drive home. It seems to do it the worst when it's been sitting in the cold for a few hours.
