I was going to upgrade my headligfhts to BlueVision, but wasn’t sure about the right size. So I went to Autozone and had the guy pull the parts up… they’re different thatn the 2K max he tells me!

Not only that, but there are NO aftermarkets available… once again, this is from Autozone teller guy, so I take it with a grain of salt.

Anyone with a 2K1 change their headlight bulbs yet?

Any truth to the "no aftermarket" statement?

I’m gonna be pissed if I have to stick with the factory ones… very disappointing.

I took mine out and looked. It’s definitely not a 9004. It’s a lot simpler looking than that. Almost like a regular old flashlight bulb or something.

Any help would be appreciated. Especially while driving at night!

They should be the same. I know the 2k Max has H4 bulbs for headlights and H3 for fogs.

Are "H4" and "9004" the same?

I went to several places and never saw "H4". Only "9003, 9004, 9005".

I did see "H3" Fogs.

Is it just that no stores near me carry "H4"s?

9004's are for 4th gen Maxes and will not fit on our cars. There is another alphanumeric thingy that the H4's go by, but I don't remember what it is.

Okay, well that right there tells me Mr. Autozone was on crack, because he said the 2K’s took 9004.

Thanks. I guess I just have to find Bluevisions marked "H4"???

The 2000+ Maxima comes with HB2's, which are pratically H4's.

They are the same

I already swapped them on my 2k1. H4s for the headlights, and H3s for the fogs.
