Lots of people with large systems have problem with their mirrors falling off the glass, or breaking. This is a common complaint on some of the car audio forums.

By the looks of it you can probably repair it by using the Wink mirror back kit off
of Pep boys. Just to make sure show me the pic of the back of the mirror itself
and I'll know for sure.

I disagree with you there. Certain frequecies can cause stress fractures in any
metal, but in this case I have a hard time believing sound waves from the music
can cause that.
