Have anybody gotten a clean install kit for a single din stereo. So far I have no luck finding something that fits and looks right. Any help will be appreciated!

I don't know about the 5th gen, but in the 4th, you don't need an install kit...

Get the GXE AC Ventilator Assembly. part costs about $68 from Courtesy Nissan. Then get the Tray that goes under the Factory GXE Radio.. That Piece is around $20 from Courtesy. Its Expensive but thats the way to go. I had to Buy that Piece b/c I had that CD Tape from Factory. I have a Double Din Radio so I didn't need the tray. U can look at this pic and see http://members.nbci.com/Gr8bone/maxus2000/MVC-634X.JPG

Thanks Peter (GR8BONE) for the picture.

Pioneer,

So that piece you got from Nissan is for a single Din radio? Or is it for a double Din and you have to fill in the gap? Just wanted to know.

Where do you get the American Industries Kit from?

That piece is a double din hole.. only comes like that. its the piece for the GXE vent assembly. U can make it a single din by adding a single din radio and a tray pocket from Nissan.

well i actually mounted the cva-1005 on the bottom that way it barely covers the bottom of the ac vent when it's open so i can get cool air to my body when this freakin' heat wave bakes me to a crisp.

hilarious.

well i made the dash kit.. looks like a charm.. now all i gotta do is figure out exactly what goes on top.. i'm thinkin' s-afc. but no one is replying yet. i'm gonna incorporate it into the dash kit. so i looks factory. gonna take teh casing apart and some how make custom rewired buttons and have the display behind a glossy clear peice of plastic just like teh factory bose system kind athing.. it'll be sweet.. but i need 411 on the apex form mmy previous post. and i'm still not sure if it'll fit.. dunno yet i think its' alil too thick height wize. gonna wiat til my bro come back with his lude so i can see...wish me luck all..

oh yeah and yes i used abs and took forever sanding by hand.
