Lets see what the people who actually have TC on their Maximas have to say ... or the ones who don't have TC but have good tires...

Spinning tires = no traction. With the TCS on, as tires start to spin, power is cut (for a split second)to give tires chance to grab again and then quickly restored depending on how much your foot is in the accelorator. I just leave mine on and forget about it.

Benny is right. Some times you do turn it off, if you need to claw your way out of something or up an inclined driveway. I in no way want to insult anyones smarts, but it does nothing for braking and it cant perform miricles. If ya got stock tires with even moderate wear, that is going to be your limiting factor.
