I'm just telling you guys the facts...thats what this board is all about. I dont want people going around giving mis-info. I mean, i dont really give a **** cause I have 8500k bulbs which are nearly pure purple/blue. So output isn't really a big deal..its all about what looks good. Anyone that says Igors setup doesn't look sick is on crack.

Here's what soundmike said about this in another thread about kloogy's 7000K lights:

This is most likely the explanation to why the higher K lights appear brighter.

Don't get me wrong, I think higher kalvin looks amazing, and I might run 6000K Philips Ultinon when I finish with my projectors, I'm just stating the facts on light output.

If you want to know more about this subject so you dont look like a fool, check out HIDforum.com. A few other org members are on the board as well.
Ok, let me start by saying to ^this post^. HIDforum, is one of the best sources for info on HID's. Ive been on there for a little while now.

An explination of this has already been posted by 00SEinMA, credit to Soundmike. They look great, you wont get any argument about that (not from me anyway) BUT it does pretty much defeat the purpose of hids. Halogen bulbs will have more lumens output then your 12000K kit, it wont "look" like it but it does.

6000K is NOT the brightest/whitest output. It is the best compromise IMO between color & light output. You still maintain most of the light output but get a color that really stands out

Once again, "looking" brighter is the case most of the time. I cant disagree with you do. Igor's HID setup, even at 6000K should definetly be brighter then OEM. The reason for this is due to the fact he has 4 HID ballasts running compared to two for OEM. IF your trying to say just the headlights or fogs alone are brighter then 4100-4300K, dont forget to factor in glare. No matter how you or any1 puts it though, a 6000K kit will never match the lumens output of 4100-4300K. It might put out more glare (d2s capsules) but lumes output still wont be to par

4100-4300K. For japanese cars its usually 4300K but the difference isnt really visible to the naked eye.

I agree 100%. As long as it looks good, thats all that matters. Igors kit does look sick as hell too, im sure you know that Igor

Oh, I know it

But the headlights alone put more light on the ground....even when I had the D2R.
