squeeking strut plates - according to mechanic
squeeking strut plates - according to mechanic
i went to a mechanic to check out an awful squeeking noise that comes from my front-driver side suspension when my wheel is cocked all the way to the left. he told me that it was the strut plates rubbing together and in his opinion it was a defective part. the drivers side strut has been making noise for a while and just recently the passenger side has started to do the same thing,
my problem is, i have H&R springs on my stock struts. do you think this is a result of having the H&Rs on stock struts? his answer to this was no. but i know nissan wont think the same way.
im just curious if people here think that the springs could have caused the strut plates to go bad or if it is just a problem that i should get fixed under warranty?

Ive heard about max's w/ OEM suspension having this problem...I have this problem and Ive seen over 40 diff members here complain about the same thing. I know its definetly coming from the front suspesion though. I have Toks & Teins and that noise just drives me nuts. I just dont turn the wheel all the way anymore.
I dont know if the struts are jacked
the car doesnt excessivle bounce or anything so im lost on this as well.
