Damn Wind!!!

Hey Guys,
It was disgustingly windy in moorpark, ca today. I parked my car in a parking lot for my lunch hour and a I saw a cart get speed and hit my car when I was walking back to it.

It made a pretty big ding, though there is no paint removed or scratches or anything luckily.

Is there any way to take out the ding without going to a ding repair shop and getting a new ahole ripped?

Thanks

you mean that ding king stuff? If that's what you are talking about, save the money. That stuff does not work.

dent king took out all my dings without a trace, clean simple job and didn't charge much either, i don't know about anyone else, but in my experience it was very effective and results were better than expected...

I think I paid $20 some dollars for it. I think I still have the set sitting somewhere. If I can find it, it's all yours; just pay for shipping.

If it's not near any edges or cutoff lines, you can use a spoon to slowly rub out the ding from inside if it's accessible.

the specific company i am talking about is dent express, a mobile business where the guy comes to your house, work, or wherever and removes the dent(s). it's paintless so yes its practically unnoticeable. I waited until i had dings all over my car from people bangin their damn doors into mine, and he charged me 100 bux for the whole car. I had a good 10-15 dings here and there. I'm in northern cali, if anyone needs additional info bout the guy let me know, I can hook it up...

Man it must be the season for Baskets love affair with the Max, I was hit 2 weeks ago by a fast moving one rolling downa hill at the Alberstons lot. I took it to a couple Dent repair shops and they could take part of it out but the part near the lining of the fender they couldnt. I took it to a few Body shps and the estimates were 1,200-1,400 and Albertsons cut me a check in a week. I paid the dent guys 100 bucks and they got most the upper part out you can still tell a little because of the body has slight creasing. It looks 85% better, I can deal with that litle dent in the lower part. A friend of mine purchased that dent king and sorry to say that thing works it worked on his dents just fine. If I can find a salvaged Glacier Pearl fender from an 03 I will buy it an replace it although, I just dont want to repaint. Even though the lower portion had a small paint chip it annoys me sometimes.

Use a plunder ! My friend had a dent in his Acura.
Him and his stepdad used the bathroom plunder to
pull the dent out. It worked pretty good !

I think he said he wet it down before he used it.

Try it..whats is the worse that could happen ?

Strange, I just posted this in the detailing forum this morning...

It works. I used it on my old '97 Max. Pretty time consuming since I had to pop a door ding around 10 times before it was nearly invisible. However, it won't work well in the following situations:
1. Very small dent (since the puller can't get enough leverage to pull really small spots.
2. Dents that involve really sharp creases in the metal. The dent could be pulled somewhat in this situation, but the crease will always be visible to some degree.

One big warning - Dont pull the dent too many times. When it's flush/nearly flush with the rest of the paint, stop. I pulled a dent a few too many times and actually popped the metal OUT a bit. This was arguably even more noticable than the dent!! Just a warning. Use carefully and you'll likely be happy with the results.

Find a paintless dent remover in the phone book or at a used car dealership. I got mine pulled for 25 dollars. Sometimes car wash places have their business card tacked all over the place.
