Brakes making noise...
I've changed my brakes recently but my brakes still make noise. They make squeeking noises and also othe noises when I press the brakes. It sounds like the brake is slipping, but its not because it brakes good and hard.
Anyone know why it would do this? I haven't experienced this on another car after the brakes were changed....could they be the wrong brake pads causing too much noise?

Buy brakes parts cleaner at any local auto parts store. Clean the discs really thoroughly and then see if it still makes the same noise. Usually the squeal is caused by heat glazing. the glazing is caused by driving in alot of stop and go traffic, esp in hot weather.

There is probably leftover glaze from the previous pads on the calipers. You can try some light sandpaper, between 300 and 500 grit to remove the glaze, or better yet get the rotors turned. They are probably warped knowing the 5th gen rotors.
You can also try brake quiet. It's a sticky adhesive that will keep the brake pads on the caliper, vs. them getting hung up on the rotor after applying the brakes and letting off. I did that with mine and it stopped the squealing.

The brake pads that I installed had the metal sticker that you apply to the back of the brakes so I put those.
I will try using some brake cleaner and see what happens. Maybe I should have bought ceramic pads. I currently have semi-metallic...which should be fine also.

What kind of pads do you have ? Some pads are harder on the rotors and would likely to glaze them compared to pads like Porterfield R4-S. Get a good set of pads before turning your rotors cause you can't keep cutting them. There's a minimum thickness that you've got to maintain on those rotors.

I know I bought some Raybestos Semi-Metallic pads from Kragen Auto Parts....
I might be some Ceramic ones and turn the rotors...but I will try using brake cleaner also because I didn't do that once I replaced the brakes.
