a/c blower noise

I seem to remember a few people stating that their a/c-heater fan started to make a lot of noise and needed to be replaced.

Anyway, how much does it cost to buy a replacement blower fan, and is it something I can replace myself, or should I take it to a dealer? If I have to go the dealer route, about how much would that be?

My fan made the noise with the heat on one time. Nothing would make it stop. I turned the car off and on and it went away and never resurfaced.

I had the same problem and got it fixed myself.
Just go to the dealer and buy the whole assembly (blower motor with the blade) for $59.99 (that was the price at my local dealer).
It's very easy to install. All you have to do is to remove a glove box. The instructions on how to do it you may find here or search google.com
Other than that - you should unscrew 6 screws and your glove box will fall off. Disconnect the glove box light, but DON'T disconnect wires for AIRBAG (instead detach the whole clip).
Then it will be all yours...

Could you post the name of the dealer where the part is $59.99? I need to buy one, too.

Thanks.

Hmmmm, maybe this is what was causing the loud noise last week when I turned on the heater. Funny thing is, it doesn't make any noise anymore.

Thanks for the response, i thought it was easy to do. Now does anyone have a "how-to" to take the glove box door off. I would look here, but the search isn't working, and I can't find it on the web.

Open it up, remove the four screws at the top and the two screws at the
bottom and pull it out. It doesn't get much easier than that...
