Losing range on auto start...

I've lost considerable range on my automatic starter and on really cold nights it won't start the car. It will try to start, but sometimes it doesn't hold the ignition long enough to start the car. And as far as my range goes. I went from a decent few hundred yards to maybe a couple hundred feet. I have to do the old chin trick to get extra range. Does anybody know how to solve either of these two problems.

You may need a battery with a higher cold cranking amps rating for the Max. Adding a fresh one to the transmitter should help the range as well. Reduced range is usually the first sign of a weakening battery.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

i agree change both batteries, and if the problem still persists, though its rare, you might want to get the alarm checked by your installer...

Okay, I guess it's time to start researching new batteries.
