wzup evrybody!! just got my 2nd max;( 01 se 5 speed, 1st was 92 se automatic), the 5 speed doesnt seem to have the same top end kick that the aut did. i know i can downshift but it seems like the aut's are faster. should i go to an air intake?

I feel the same way. I just switched from a '99 3.2TL which had all its power in the high end (4600-6500). My Max only pulls from around 3000-5000 so I figure a Frankencar Intake will give me that extra boost. I figure a Budget B-pipe will supplement the intake and give a nice sound too.

B-pipe, I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong, is the piece from the cat to the muffler.

Yes, but it takes some time for them to ship it. Also check out their exhaust

I think Frankencar is the best (for me) because it is simple bolt-on, you don't have to do any cutting or drilling. It isn't officially a CAI because it doesn't reach down under the car to get cold air so it can't suck up water either. I guess it is the best balance between CAI and stock.
