Opinions on Sylvania Silverstars

I know this one has been up recently - but i've missed it.

Considering some sylvania silverstars for my bro for X-Mas (he's got an 03 4Runner) and I'm wondering what people think of them???

How do they look, and any issues with longevity??

I would buy PIAAs except for the price -- as I love my H3's to death.
Need some new H4's for my Hi's as well.....

Any opinions of those running these lamps would be appreciated, H4's H3's, whatever!

Thanks,
gr

Ive had the H3's for a short time. They are in between stock and The PIAA's as far as whiteness goes, and they put some pretty good light down on the road. I However, am bout to replace them with Narva Gold bulbs for that bright yellow look.

I dont find my silverstars to be much better than stock silvania. But afterall how many people actualy see my high beams. He may not see much of a differance depending on the housing.

I tried them and did not like them. They are not as white as some people claim. They are better than stock but not super whites or anything like that.

I loved mine in my 2000 Max for H4 headlight bulbs. But since I see you have a 2002 I am guessing you want fogs (H3)?

Silverstars are very bright white light. They look like 4300K HIDs. You sould get them.

I've had them for about 1yr now without any problems. I have H4 Silverstars and yes, they are clearer than stock lamps and were pretty 'whiteish' (sp) to me when i first got them..

But after getting PIAA H3 Xtreme's for the fogs, my Silverstars look like stock lamps (alittle yellowish) in comparison with them when both are turned On ..

I find that Silverstars don't luminate wet roads that well though..

Happy Holidays and Best wishes to all..

Thanks guys -- that's what I needed.

I really dig my PIAA H3's -- they rock!

I'll be checking-out some PIAAs for my bro as well.
