Some people don'y appreciate quality parts and workmanship. If I were to buy a turbo set up I would require the best. $6000 you say, then let me begin saving. I may not be able to afford it now, or in the next year, but I want it. I want a quality piece, and this looks the shiet.

I would like to see the ALPHA version first........with a few problems the WILL experiance.
Leter I would buy the BETA version of the turbo........assumming everything is all right.

While I am not interested in buying it as I am content with my car as it is, I must say that the quality looks outstanding. Also, I think we should all thank SSR for stepping up to the plate here. Frankly, I thought it would be a cold day in hell before a company actually delivered. Most hype a product, estimate a date 6 months down the road, and then dissappear. Whatever happened to that supercharger kit form that NZ company? In any case, good work SSR and I look forward to future projects from your company.

If you complain about the price then I guess a turbokit isn't right for you. Look at all your getting. I give SSR big props for stepping up and making kits for us.
Turbokit's aren't cheap anyways look at HKS's Lancer EVO upgrade it's $6,870.00 and $4,110.00 without a turbo and it allready has a turbo.
Hey BigdogJonx hows everything going with yours? Broke in your tranny yet.

Ok so much power will we be generating at "safe" boost levels (I assume 6-9psi)??
And with those levels will the auto tranny handle the power? How is the clutch going to hold up? If were getting decent power levels....(over 350whp) we are talking some serious traction problems. Please keep the updates coming.
Oh and BTW Nice work on the custom kit.

I dunno how well the Max spools up a TO4E, but also U didn't include the specs on this turbo. I can quickly tell ya how much power it can put out I been in the turbo bussniess for a long time now. On a SR20 depending on the AR of the exhaust housing, if its cartige style bearings or single-dual ball bearings ? What Stage wheel ? Clipped or not ? Extrude honed out exhaust housing and compressor housing ? But like I was trying to say is... biggest Garrett TO4Es can flow only 500HP MAX and that is asking for alot, then U gotta move up to a larger turbo- which has more lag. Also anything with over 300WHP and instant boost is asking for trouble in the hands of a inexperienced high HP FWD car driver. Also without any kinda limited slip diff in the front putting down that power also means very very short tire life on the RIGHT front wheel. I know the 5spd Maxima tranny is able to hold 500HP no problem- don't ask me how I know..... it wasn't used on a VQ. I am not sure if the 6spd is going to hold up, its not as beefy inside. Automatics will blow sky high with all the heat generated by the clutch packs trying to contain all that power. 6K bux is alot when I put that figure into my HP=PRICE calculator, built into my brain. VQ35DE will not hold up 400HP on a bottom end for a long time. I've done my homework on the VQ motors pretty good, and knowing one of the best nissan engineers around also helps I would like to see some dyno charts please. BTW how much would it cost just for the Ypipe for the VQ30 ? I don't need no fancy SSteel its getting Swain Coatings anyways... which provides more exhaust flow by keeping the temerature and pressures inside the exhaust piping. SSteel lets off too much heat and other than Bling blingn nice- only your oil change guy will get to see those beautifull pipes, they accutally hurt performance and cost more. Sorry for my rant... just that 6K is alot of $$$ to spend for something that I don't know much about- what kinda stand alone ? what size injectors ? Why a 45mm TiAL with a TO4E ? 35mm old TiALs where known for dependability and got me to over 500WHP on a GTi-R SR20. Just my .02

I can guarantee my car will be more reliable- I spend tons of time on research, ask around all kinds of engineers. I have access to a dyno so I can tune my car to my liking with Greddy E-manage, will this 6K dollar Kit have a dyno tuned TO THE CAR stand alone pigiback computer ? I applaud that there is a kit out there for the car- but if U mention 6K dollars on lets say any turbo Nissan forum... for a turbo kit- U besta make sure this sucka is good for atleast 700 reliable WHP. I guarantee ya 350WHP to 400WHP MAX for 6K bux, well U can get a 3.5L pretty close to 280WHP with mods - Altimas. Throw in 100 shot of NOS for the get go and you are all set. All in all for way less than 6K bux- I guess then there are the ones who like to show off that they got a pimped out turbo kit on their cars at Hot Import Nites- then sure spend the dough, but I will make my own for half. Like I mentioned before... Stainless steel LOOOONG tubes will loose too much velocity, and will crack...who ever came up with this design should be shot. And TO4E turbo can only flow about 450-500WHP max... I want more for 6 gees !

My home made exhaust manifold, its equal lenght, has right pulse ratios, and its Swain White lightning super high temp coated- which keeps exhaust temperatures inside the collector very hot and increases the velocity of the gases- making a big TO4E work on a 2.0L SR20 like it would on a VQ30. This piece of work has EGT fittings in it, O2 sensors- for wide band O2 also....

picture does not work. Straight 4 is much easier than V6. Thats why you don't see turbo kits for V6's. Accord V6, MX-6, Maxima. Everything has to be custom. Make an exhaust manifold that is equal lenght and not long tube on a maxima and I will give you a cookie.

For $6,000 you'll get pretty much the best of everything, turbos will vary upon personal choice. We can put any turbo you want in the kit. There are alot of things you have to do in order to make a turbo kit for the new Nissans, returnless systems, space restrictions, power limits, etc. Prices are still TBA, but expect that much.
*For Example* The custom maxima "stage 2" has
-Turbonetics Full T4 non-hybrid Turbo with 6psi of boost (capable of 500+ horsepower)
-Mandrel Bent 2.5" Fully Polished Piping
-Spearco Intercooler with end tanks and custom brackets for easy installation
-HKS SSQV Blowoff Valve
-Turbonetics Wastegate
-HKS Super S-AFC2
-All necessary hoses, fittings, gaskets, clamps, and connectors
-Polished turbo heat shield cover
-Battery relocation kit
-Custom mandrel bent down pipe
-Peak Fuel Management Unit
-Holley Fuel Pump
-Injectors
$5599
Notice this DOESEN'T include Manifolds, uses Mild Steel for exhaust piping. *Not Bashing* But there's a reason mild steel is cheaper, it has poor heat retention, bad flow, and can rust.
Our prices are more then justified, if you want to build a custom kit using cheap components, then chances are you'll probably be able to do it for less then $6000+. We were under the impression that when you buy these $25,000+ cars you'd want some nice quality components for the car.
We recommend going around get some estimates even. See how long and how much it would cost to make a custom turbo kit, with a COMPLETE fuel solution, polishing, and good components. You'll be surprised at how much it really is. Anyhow if you guys have any questions, PM me or whatever I'll be on all day.

I know some of you out there think $6000 was some small change. And I also know it's alot for alots of ppls too,so I was just SUGGESTING SSR to make a kit that they can USE the stock manifold(don't easily crack)like BlackBIRDVQ suggest and cut cost,so more ppl can jump on the deal.If I want something for my car really bad I'll save up and buy it.I really appreciate SSR for stepping in for us 3.5 guy,and I know SSR use alots of Polished Part very beautiful, this kit is more for SHOW to me.

$6000 isnt much, for that kind of quality, and that many parts, thats a great deal. Id rather fork out extra dough than risk getting a cheapo kit and end up blowing the engine. New injectors are a plus, that leaves room for extra potential.
