your k&N filter before reinstalling it?? so it doesnt mess up the MAF????

this is what i do...

shake it out...
let it sit for 10-15 minutes...
oil it...
install and drive!

long as it's not soaking wet, i don't think anything's going to happen... just make sure that when you oil it, you hit everywhere...

Yep thats the way to do it! Never try to blow compressed air through it to dry it! Just be patient!

I don't automatically place mine back in, what I do is I have a secondary filter I use to put in and I dry mine for 10 minutes, oil it and let is sit overnight at upright angle with a paper towel up under it so all the excess oil drains evenly, then I put it back on after 24 hours.

But if you don't have a filter and can't wait just do it at night before you go to bed and put it on in the morning.
