I am getting a y-pipe for my 3.0L Maxima, and I was thinking if a K&N replacement filter would add any HP, when combined with the y-pipe.

is it worth the $40 or is it waste of money

I am planning to get K&N replacement filter, until I can afford Placeracing CAI.

I'd wait out for the CAI... 'cause the K&N panel filter doesn't add too much (it does make a difference, or at least I've felt it...), and it'd be a waste of money when you ditch it for the CAI.

 

I think I wait 'till I could afford $215 for polished PR CAI.
