Looking at install instructions to both the Stillen and the Addco rear sway bars. I notice that the Stillen only seems to attach on the sides (the frame) with the blue clamps, while the Addco bar attaches both on the sides and to the axlebeam itself. Why doesn't the Stillen attach to the axle beam also....would think that would be more effective. Any ideas?

Nope. Same effect, different designs. You're just paying Stillen the extra bucks for looks.

However...there is now some company out there producing a Stillen RSB knock-off for a lot less than Stillen. Matches their design and materials used exactly. Funny.

Does the cattman come with an adpator to fit the brake line or is that not an issue? Any mods need to be done for the cattman to fit correctly?

 

Had both Addco and Stillen, Stillen worked better for me, felt tighter and no chances of the infamous clunk, just my opinion.....

 

Think I will take your advice, since you obviously know the kind of roads we have around here

 

With the Cattman RSB, you have to remove the brake lines bolts and use zip-ties to hold them in place.

Yeah, I got the clunk going on over bumps. Haven't had the chance to fix it yet though.

 

I did pay the extra for Stillen and I think it's worth it. It comes with hardware to go around brake lines, install is cake, and the bottom of it has zero scratches after 75k of use (and I go over a lot of speed bumps everyday, usually around 20 mph.)

 

yeah I heard Stillen is more convenient during the installation. It doesnt have to deal with zip ties, and ths stillen has less little pieces of nuts and bolts for us to worry about losing during install. I still love my Cattman

 

I didn't use zip-ties on my Progress sway bar install. Just bent the parking brake holder up a little and the ABS brackets go back into their original clips.

 

Sorry to hijack, but I just got my cattman RSB from waveriders G/D, and I was wondering how involved the install actually is? I'm gonna wait till spring ,cause this is the last winter the Max will go thru, so I'll keep the SB niceand new looking.

 

Hijack away...I ordered the Stillen last night, so my original question is done. thanks all for the answers and comments, I went with the Stillen for ease of installation and fear of clunk. Had a little extra xmas cash, so don't mind paying an extra hundred bucks....bought a cheap FSTB instead of the Cattman to make up for it!
