Squeeling belts on 3.5L
I have a 2K3 with roughly 10,000 kms (6,000 miles) on it. I have now twice noticed the car making squeeling noises after being started when it is left outside in the cold (both times it was just slightly above freezing). The first time I heard it was on start up (occurred for several seconds). The second time I heard it (just yesterday), it did not occur right way but after a minute or two as I accelerated off a side street onto a busy street (the squeel went on for several seconds).
Has anyone else noticed this on their max?
Two other things I noticed with my car (that may be related to the squeeling problem), (i) my car makes a bit of a whistling noise when it is idling, particularly upon startup, and (ii) I noticed that the speed of the defroster fan increases as I accelerate away from a light (it is slower at idle).
Could these be symptoms of a loose belt or a ceasing pulley?
Thanks for your advice.

I only know of a whistling sound that occurs when you are smoothly accelarating. I asked if it was normal before and everyone said "YEAH". So if that's what is happening, it is completely normal.
