Motor Mounts

Hey guys, I just went out of powertrain warranty on my 00 se auto. Got 60,100 miles on it. But Friday, when i took my max in for the motor mounts buzzing, i was still under warranty 59,980 miles. The dealer said that no one was there to look at it at the time So she said even if i go out of warranty to bring it back on Monday and they will work somethin out.. Anyway, my motor mount noise is so annoying, that buzzing even happens when the car is off. This morning i took it in and showed the guy the tsb and he said he didn't need it. He said he would call nissan and get back with me. Anyway, he just called and said that the moter mounts are covered till 36,000 miles; and to get em replaced would be 500 dollars. Can't i call nnissan and complain and even tell em about the tsb?? Will anthing bad happen if i don't get the mounts replaced? Is there an alternative to stop the buzzing noise??
Help apprciated.

If you had the dealer write the car up and look at it then its documented and you can complain that you tried but nobody was available and they should fix it. Oh, with Nissan, you can be firm all you want, went that route and it didn't work. You need to be assertive and if they can't help find the person above them. I did and it worked. No never had that problem and took my 2000 way over 60k miles. Chris

Your dealer is full of ****. The price on those mounts or maybe just one mount is around $120 dollars. It takes all of 30 minutes to replace them. If you go on MSN, yahoo or any search engine and look up Nissan parts there's a whole butt load of places that sell those mounts, but your best bet is to call Dave B. aka Dave Burnett. He'll have the best price, just tell him your an org member. You can replace the mounts yourself if you have a jack and jackstands. Here's his ph# (888)254-6060. Hope this helps. He's in Texas, so be aware of what time it is in relation to yours before you call.

Sounds like they want to replace all four mounts. The mounts range in price from $80 to $180 apiece. I agree with 1BADMAX, if you know which is bad, call David B. at South Point Nissan for the part and install it yourself.
