I have a 2001 GLE and i heard that some maximas can roll the windows down with the unlock and lock buttons or some other way, is there anyway my car can do that?

 

Hold the unlock button on your keyfob - it will roll down your windows until you release the button.

 

only on a 02+ .they skipped that opt in 00 and 01 mod. but they had that in 99 -97 max.

 

what why did they skip 00 and 01? Do you know how much it is to get it installed?

 

As someone (almost) said above, it was available in '95 - 99 Max, skipped for 00 - 01, and brought back for 02+. Don't know why it was dropped, but apparently (if you believe my sales guy) one of the dealer managers in Houston helped bring it back by demonstrating how much the car cools off just by rolling the windows down before you reach the car.

There was a thread about this a long time ago, IIRC the consensus was that it would be very difficult to put this option in but honestly don't remember clearly. Search should find it.
