Never seen this before...

Alright, I'm ****ed because I tried to make this thread before and it didn't get posted for some reason and I lost all the text to it. LONG STORY SHORT:

I've seen that the front seats from a 4th gen can be swapped into a 5th gen, but not rear seats due to one being 60/40 and the other not.

Well, this brought a question to my mind. I know the 6th gen's rear seat is also 60/40. But from what I can tell, the elite package rear seats are not. So this is my question: would be it be even remotely possible to swap the elite package seats into a 5th Gen? Common sense tells me no, but then again I thought it would be worth asking anyways...

Don't flame me, just an idea

Why are you asking us when you don't even have a max. Put your questions in the trash.

Is anyone ACTUALLY going to reply to this thread? Or is it all just going to be one big circus?

I posted a thread wondering what you people thought. It get insults and stupid comments (minus 2 somewhat decent replies). Either post with an INTELLEGENT, MEANINGFUL comment about the thread or don't post at all.

I know people have done lots of interior swaps...I know someone on here even converted his 4th gen rear seat to 60/40...SOMEONE has to know something

EDIT: if not, I guess I'll be the first to try it someday...

......................

I never said I was. I was using it as an example of what people have done. I'm sure they had their reasons, like having a ruined interior and not having anything else readily available except 4th gen seats. I DON'T KNOW...point is, it was only an example of what's been done.

There is a guy by the name of Dave Burnette. He works at a dealer in Texas. Give him a call and he'll probably be the one to tell you if it's possible or not. His number is in the 5th gen forum's FAQ thread.

Yeah...that'd be a good last resort idea. I was thinking about that. I was also surprised to see he hadn't posted on this thread yet...

I wouldn't be surprised if the 4th gen seats can be transplanted onto a 5th gen without a lot of hassle given that they pretty much share the same platform.

As for a 6th gen, the platform is entirely different and though you can probably rig your way through it - it's probably not worth the effort.
