Steering Wheel Controls

I have a 2003 SE and I believe that the steering wheel controls used to light up when I turned the lights on but now they don't. Can anybody tell me for sure if they do light up? And if so, how can they be made to light up again, is there a fuse or something, or do I have to take it back to the dealership and let them work on it? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The steering wheel controls DO NOT light up. It doesn't take
long and you'll be able to find them all in the dark!

They don't light up. As far as the resto f the interior lights, they are controlled by a switch on the dash. Looking at the wheel, the reside at the 9 o'clock position then in toward the wheel on the panel just below the speedometer. If they did light up, you would check the spiral cable or the fuse under the dash or under the hood, but this is not the case.

Do what I did...go to the Volkswagen dealership parts department and buy a Touareg Cigarette Lighter flashlight. That thing is awesome. It sits in your cigarette lighter and it is an LED flashlight that is charged by the cigarette lighter adapter. That thing is perfect for finding things in the car. Probably one of the coolest things I have seen in a while.

Well, I went to a VW dealership and bought it, it might have been like $36 with tax. They had them in stock there. It's a really cool little flashlight.
