Finally got the MAX back!

some of you may remember back in august i had gotten into a bad accident in my 2003 maxima SE.

The initial estimate of damages totaled $11,400.00 not nearly enough to total out the car only having 8,000 miles on it.

well, after having it in the body shop for 6 months and rolling a corolla as a rental. i finally got my car back. First off let me tell you, it's amazing that a car with that much damage can be repaired to the point where you can not tell in any way. the damages ended up totalling $18,824.00 when it was all said and done. now, had the insurance company estimated the damages correctly to begin with i would have been in a new car months ago. but quite honestly as good as the car is. i feel like i did the first day i got it. i did have to detail it, use my rug doc on the floor mats and clay bar and wax it (areas not painted) and the car looks, smells and drives like new. if anyone lives in the san diego area i highly reccomend the body shop i used. Bradley Allen Auto body in Encinitas, CA. they have top notch customer service and while they do take a while (waiting for parts mostley) they used all oem parts and fought for me with the insurance company to make sure the vehichle was repaired properly. they get an A+ from me.

I'll post pics soon of the before accident,

Accident

and after repairs later today.

Glad to be back, now on with the mods!

WOW 6 months in the shop! God Bless you for going through that. Mine has been in there since the 28th and I already want it back, hopefully next week.

And, with that damage and money involved I believe your bodyshop should've detailed your car. I know when my car was in an accident a while back, 15k damage, the bodyshop took an extra day to have it detailed and it only took a month to fix.

Good Luck with your car but I could never wait for six months for a car to come out of the shop for collision work.

I am glad someone got there car back. I was in a accident in Nov 14 and today its ready. It looks great but I cant drive it cause its at the Nissan Dealership, the collision center couldnt get it to stay started and there a leak in the battery ! probably from overcharging the battery.

I am dissapointed that I couldnt drive it, and I''m still stuck in the p.o.s Ford Focus until they can figure out what went wrong....I hope there wont be anymore problems when I finally get it !!!

I had my car in the bodyshop for 2 weeks and near went nuts w/o it! You better save all that paperwork on repairs made, if your tires get chewed up faster or else, you can always bring it back.
