We all know Stillen's headers were not correctly designed (and they look like they were welded by a 5 year old who was blind folded).

And skandalouz, the picture of Stillen's headers look good, but you should see the actual product

I'll wait for the dyno's. I'm sure they'll give us some good numbers, but I'd rather wait and know that what I'm buying.

Wow, that Hotshot Header is frickin' gorgeous. User-installable?
If dyno shows >= 10-15 hp gain it's a no-brainer...

New master plan: Intake, ECU, Hotshot Header, Catback

All of the pre-order shipped out, so hopefully we'll be getting numbers soon.

It'll be interesting to see if these headers gain over the conventional y-pipe. I think the problem with most of the past headers was that the primaries were too short. The headers were all shortie headers, which on almost any engine don't gain nearly as much as long tube headers. The VQ is no different from any other engine in that with a properly tuned header it will make big hp and trq gains over a stock cast exhaust manifold.
Here is an example of what the headers look like on an NSX.

Even most headers for 4-cyl engines have very long primaries.

http://www.methodmotorworks.com/head...gra-header.jpg

Then we have these new headers for the altima/maxima
http://www.southwestautoworks.com/maximav6all.jpg
http://www.southwestautoworks.com/MAXIMAV6.JPG

They look like the primaries are longer than the hotshot headers for the Tiburon.
http://w1.igateway.com/clients1/tc/s...icture_hs3.jpg

It's easy to see why they go with a shorter primary tube length since the space to work with is small, but it could still be done as the NSX headers proved. I hope these headers have long enough primaries to make better hp, but if not it will be because the primaries are probably too short

Mine is scheduled to go on Wednesday. Little concerned about the other guy missing his o2 bungs. Have they all been shipped like that or only his?

Mine has both 02 bungs on each set of headers. It also came with new gaskets although they are paper and nuts and bolts. Also Im assuming its wire for the 02 relocation if needed.

Just curious but wouldn't the ideal set up for you be to go ahead and run the N20 with your headers?

Obviously it would make for a better gain, or is it that you just want to go back to being all motor? Btw, I thought you had a great set up going without being boosted.

This is only because, the rear bank header merges to the y-pipe portion directly above where the y-pipe portion from the front bank is..........I got mine today too.

Cool...... I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but you should have received two bungs for two of the four o2 sensors to be relocated. Apparently, these bungs need to be welded anywhere after the cat towards the rear of the car (which we are supposed to do). One is supposed to have been included with the pipes. Like I said, two are needed and I didn't recieve any. I contacted Hotshot, and they should be sending them out to me. This information came directly from Hotshot.

Yes, HotShot is sending out the missing bungs to everybody that ordered a header.

Quick Reply: 3.5 HotShot Header pics.
