We all know Stillen's headers were not correctly designed (and they look like they were welded by a 5 year old who was blind folded).

It'll be interesting to see if these headers gain over the conventional y-pipe. I think the problem with most of the past headers was that the primaries were too short. The headers were all shortie headers, which on almost any engine don't gain nearly as much as long tube headers. The VQ is no different from any other engine in that with a properly tuned header it will make big hp and trq gains over a stock cast exhaust manifold.
Here is an example of what the headers look like on an NSX.
Even most headers for 4-cyl engines have very long primaries.

They look like the primaries are longer than the hotshot headers for the Tiburon.

It's easy to see why they go with a shorter primary tube length since the space to work with is small, but it could still be done as the NSX headers proved. I hope these headers have long enough primaries to make better hp, but if not it will be because the primaries are probably too short

Just curious but wouldn't the ideal set up for you be to go ahead and run the N20 with your headers?
Obviously it would make for a better gain, or is it that you just want to go back to being all motor? Btw, I thought you had a great set up going without being boosted.
