I forgot which package it is a part of - Custom & Convenience or Meridian, but a lot of us do, I'm sure. It just heats the mirrors up whenever you use the rear defroster - it isn't a separate switch or anything.

I have them....They are a part of the Meridian option package. That comes with side airbags and, heated seats, low windshield wiper indicator, and trunk lid trim in addition to the heated mirrors.

As far as I know...

The mirrors are attached to the rear defrost. The manual is kinda vague in this area. IF you have the meridian edition (US) then the heated mirrors are included and activated by the rear defrost button. They do not have a separate button.

You do have the heated side mirrors, I am also in Canada, and just purchased a 2001 GXE with the C & C package this package gives you the heated mirrors as one of the options, they are standard on the AE version. They are activated when you turn on your rear defrost.

i wish i still lived in canada....

i would have a better GXE right now, with better options at a cheaper price. DLy2k1, does your GXE have a manual or automatic A/C??? and how much did you pay for yours?
i got my 2K1 GXE w/C&C + spoiler + tint for $23,000.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Slick, I've been out of town for the last couple of days. My 2k1 is an auto. and has the automatic climate control (A/C). With the clear hood protector and the command start installed by the dealer. I paid right around $ 22,000 US.

I got 'em, I think it's part of the merdian package. It definately goes on with the rear defroster. Older Max's had a separate button.
