Engine mounts for '02

I know this have been discussed before, but I wanted to double check. I want to get Place Racing urethane engine mounts, I think people were saying that 4th gen will fit vq35. Is it a direct fit, with no modifications needed? What are the cons of getting an aftermarket engine mount besides that it will idle a little rougher. Thanks!

Warm up idle might be slightly harsher, and idling at a traffic light might be slightly harsher, but believe me, it's still better than the jelly donuts they use for stock motor mounts. They (the 4th Gen Place Racing mounts) will work with either little to no modifications. You'll be able to tell when you have everything apart anyway...

Be prepared to wait for them. I've been waiting for them for over 3 weeks. PR has them on backorder and hasn't released a date as to when they will be ready.

Does this solve the "wheel hop" issue? I'm starting to have real traction problems...and I think this might be my next mod before I add any more power. Also, how hard is it to install?? Are we talking an hour at a shop or 8 hours at home?

wheelhop is a main reason i wanna get these. I am also wondering if it is easy to install them in the garage at home.

It's a moderate day of DIY work. I rate it a 4 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.

I have these on my car now and they're great. The only other thing you need to do is purchase the 2 bolts for the front motor mount brace and put them on the rear since the stock bolts won't fit PR's rear motor mount. Also 2 washers per side. Anyway, there's no wheel hop anymore and my everyday launches are a lot smoother. Hope this helps.
