Pics of Fog Light replacement beam patterns up (finally)
Driving Light beam pattern pics up (finally)
For those of you who requested them, here are a few pictures of the light they emit. Not real good pictures, just had a minute to snap a couple. Well, here's one of just the driving lights:

And then we have just the HID's vs. HID's and driving lights

And a better pic of the HID's and the driving lights (once the HID's warmed up a bit)

Oh and I just noticed that I now "eat out of a Maxima" haha. The driving lights, BTW, are brighter than they appear to be in the first pic I posted. Not as bright as the HID's, but to oncoming traffic they look just as bright
thanks guys for the compliments... noticed no one who was interested in the beam pattern posted regarding those pics? Well, thats aight, the pics arent that great, but at least I gots em up and all... Very nice bein able to drive at dusk with just those on and know that people can definatly see me
anyone else with driving lights, I'd love to see your pics too, as a comparison

Thanks for the pics.
I was expecting more output from them, but they do look like they put down a heck of a lot more light than the stock fogs. I tried driving with just my fogs one time. I couldn't see nothing 10ft in front of the car.

IMO not a bad alternative for the stock fogs ($200).
Thanks Lumbee, Great price. Probably not as good as the stock fogs from nissan but it will look nicer because there won't be an ugly plastic cover. How did you wire it so that it turns on with the stock headlights? I am very interested in getting this done. Thanks

Ya I think it would look pretty decent on a darker Max. You could always do a chop job on your max to "put on" my driving lights, just for a rough comparison.
The dimensions.... i think they're 3.5 inches, or thereabouts. I can double check later on, but its right around 3 or 3.5, probly closer to 3.5

I had them for a while till a rock hit it and cracked one of them. Still didn't want to go back to stock b/c the output of the stockers is horrible IMO. So I bought PIAA 910s b/c their dimensions (height, width) were closest to stock. I didn't bother checking the depth of the PIAAs when I bought them b/c I thought it wouldn't be an issue. Well, it turned out to be an issue as they are really huge lamps so they won't fit nicely in stock openings w/o serious modification to the back of openings (i.e. basically cutting out the entire back of the foglight openings on the bumper).
Nonetheless, I have them installed b/c I paid $150 for 'em. They are true 110W driving lamps..if aimed properly (which I still have to get around to doing) you can drive around w/o the headlights and see perfectly. If I could do it all over again, I'd save up for HIDs in the stock fogs.

do you happen to have any pix with the walmart bulbs in your car but them turned off? my gf likes how they look on but thinks they may look "rice" if they stand out too much on the blue max. cool gf eh?

I changed the fogs cause I wanted them to be useful. I started drivin last night to Walmart (again) with just those driving lights on and I thought my HID's were on too! THey are definatly brighter in reality than what they appear in that pic I got.

Slickrick: were you askin me what they look like without the bulbs? If so, the JCWhitney bulbs I have in dont make a difference in how they appear with the power off. The lights have a blue tint to the lense, probably why they appear to be HID lights (they do a great job too) but here's a bigger pic of them off for ya.

Wait, so you just want fog lights to come on with the regular headlights? Thats how it comes from Nissan.... for the aftermarket ones, I just cut the two wires goin out from the stock fogs and soldered them to the two wires going into the aftermarket driving light. Exact same wiring as before, only with a different light. I just left enough wire on the stock lights so I could re-attach them if I wanted to later on
slick, when I had them on my car, I didn't have a digi cam so I don't have any pics. I don't know what exactly qualifies as rice (except the obvious stuff..huge spoiler, fart can exhaust etc) but it looked decent to me. Like I said, it blended in real nice w/the maj. blue. (cool gf indeed, mine couldn't understand the need to buy new "pipes" aka catback lol)
Desperado, they're called CyberWhite driving lamps at Walmart. Pepboys sells them under the Blazertech name. Wmart is about $30 cheaper for the same product.

Stock fogs:

Boheman HID 6500 K fogs

I know that yellow light is suposed to be better in rain and fog, but I LOVE my HID's. I have a hard time seeing the road when it rains, but not with these. Other drivers don't flash me either. I know it's a lot to spend on fog lights, but I got tired of changing my factory bulbs every 10-12 months.
It was easy to wire them onto the stock harness, just cut the two wires, strip em down a bit, then solder the harness to the ends of the wires comin out of the driving lamp. I got new pics of them tonight as well, will post those in a bit for whoever's interested in light output...
