Whats the symptoms of ignotion coil faliure???

Can somebody tell me what the symptoms of ignition coil failure is ... I believe my car might need new coils.. and when i experienced the problems, I kept driving then suddenly all the problems just went away.. is that possible??The symptoms i experienced was a rough idle, loud noise almost like the car had no oil in it. and trying to accelerate the rpms moved real slow felt like the engine was working harder too...

That could do it. I think mine are going up, and it occasionally has general lack of power, or intermittent misfiring during heavy acceleration...

I have all 6 new coils in the basement (w/ a pack of new spark plugs), it's just been too damn cold to do the job

I guess I've smelled that on occasion, but I'm not sure if it was coming from my car...

Also you'll notice a slight shaking in your car and a loss of power especially in lower rpms.

That's b/c the engine isn't firing properly. It could also be a mass air flow sensor, or a combination of both the coils and MAFS...
