Question...

Has anyone ever tried to loosen the nut onthe tie rod end? Can I just crank it while the rod is still attached to the car or will that pop the ball joint out where it attaches to the wheel. Does it somehow have to be supported? The nut is frozen on and I will have to apply a lot of force to turn it. Again, the whole tie rod end moves and tilts on a weird angle where it meets with the wheel bracket. Would I even have enough strength to damage it by twisting it?
