#1 down payment on a 00 Sterling Mist SE all options, 102K miles $10K

or

#2 downpayment on a 00 Black Infiniti I30t all options, 92K miles $10K

Either one, those will be treated with a new Y-pipe right away and I bought the valvebody from my crashed max

I'm 34... I'm amazed at how much people are willing to go into debt for instant gratification.

Rather than use credit, put money away each month (in a drawer, in an envelope, leave it in the bank and ignore it) and if you never gather enough money for your mod you're not financially ready or mature enough to buy it.

BTW, I have a mortgage and normal utilities, no other bills, so I practice what I preach.

And lastly if you're "getting back" more than about $300 then you wasted money. I want to slap people who think of a tax "refund" as "found money." How about calling it what it is... a tax free loan to the govt.

CF Hood, Cattman modified KYB AGX , new wheel & rubber 18 x 8 front
(245-40-18 ) & 18 x 9 rear( 265-40-18 ) and repaint my baby. Honestly I doubt I can buy all this with the tax return, probably only half of this.

Cheers

I'm also 34 and agree with 2K2wannabe about saving your money, however I am still going to the Nudie Bar until I do this.. . I have my taxes figured out so that I only get between $100-$200 dollars back. Gotta have fun every now and again .

hey, I'm all for that
and I'd rather "get back" $200 than have to pay $100, but I have a friend who regularly "gets back" $3-$4,000 ... I told him once "at $4,000 'refund' if you spent $50 on tax planning software you could have about $350 extra per month in your pocket."

His answer, and I've never mentioned it again... "if I did that I'd just spend it, so we use it as our vacation fund." ....................

Wow...someone figured it out. Youre not getting free money from the govt, as many think. Its your money, that they used and you got NO INTEREST on this investment.

I am the same as you. I have my utilities and living expenses. I dont mod on credit. If I cant afford it, I wait till I can. Like I said. I know what its like to owe a CC 15k , and it was all in mods......Its just plain dumb.

I am doing OT to buy my mods. It's my reward for doing the work. Plus anything from B-day's and Xmas is a plus.
