that search function needs to be broadened a bit.

What size speakers are in the front doors and the rear doors. I want to upgrade to better speakers and i'm GUESSING the size is 5 1/2", all around. This is on a GXE without the bose system. Thanks.

They're 6 1/2s supposedly... but they require a bracket. Try this page of mine: http://www.punkdork.net/max/speakers.htm.

I just looked at your page (excellent write-up and pics, by the way)...so, you're saying, when i go to Good-guys today, and buy some speakers, get 6.5" speakers, then cut up my stock ones? just clarifing.

That'd do it... Or I've heard the bose use a bracket and you can just buy the brackets from your dealer... plus there might be aftermarket brackets available.

Try calling crutchfield....

You can try calling them or visiting their website at http://www.crutchfield.com If you visit their website, use the feature that allows you to narrow your search and customize what fits your car.
