Who's insurance covers mods?
.................My friend has an Eclipse GSR that's fully dressed!! (ie body kit..ETC) He just got in an accident last week. It wasn't his fault but the other insurance company wont pay for the mods. What a crock!!!
I think this is true... to a point. Say you dump $10k into your car. You're really upping the value. At which point I believe you would need to contact your insurance company and have them inspect your car (see the mods on the car) so that it's fully covered. Your rates might go up. But ya gotta CYA.

That's not true.
Insurance companies are only required to replace original equipment only.
For example, if you put in an aftermarket cd player in your car, and have an accident, the insurance company is only required to put the original stereo back in if it's damaged.
However if you tell the company about it, and they cover it, then they will replace it.
